Joules & Joules Cadmium Red Deep Oil Bar is a derivation of our Cadmium Red Deep oil paint. In this process, safe quantities of beeswax and carnauba wax are added to the recipe, keeping the outer membrane solid, and the oil bar creamy inside. Joules & Joules Cadmium Red Deep is an intense, opaque, highly lightfast red, with moderate tinting strength and high covering power. It has a deep red hue in its mass color with subtle purple undertones. This is the dark version of one of the most popular colors in 20th-century painting.
