Joules & Joules Cadmium Red Oil Bar is a derivation of our Cadmium Red oil paint. In this process, safe quantities of beeswax and carnauba wax are added to the recipe, keeping the outer membrane solid, and the oil bar creamy inside. Joules & Joules Cadmium Red is a bright, opaque, highly lightfast red, with moderate tinting strength and high covering power. It has a medium red hue in its mass color with subtle undertones. This is the Medium version of one of the most popular colors in 20th-century painting.
