Oil Bars: Single-Pigment Colors – Synthetic Pigments
Cobalt Blue Oil Bar
Joules & Joules Cobalt Blue Oil Bar is a derivation of our Cobalt Blue oil paint. In this process, safe quantities of beeswax and carnauba wax are added to the recipe, keeping the outer membrane solid, and the oil bar creamy inside. Joules & Joules Cobalt Blue is a vibrant, semi-opaque, and highly lightfast intermediary blue with moderate tinting strength and covering power. Since 1804, when it was first made, it has been one of the most popular blue shades. Additionally, commonly known as `true blue`, it features as the primary color blue in many artists' palettes due to its quality of neither being greenish nor purplish in its undertones.
