Courbet Green
Joules & Joules Courbet Green is a dark, deep, semi-opaque, and highly lightfast earthy bluish-green color, with moderate tinting strength and covering power. The name refers to the French painter Gustave Courbet (1819-1877), widely regarded as one of the pioneers of the Realism movement in the 19th century. The color was mainly used by Courbet in seascapes paintings.

Highly permanent to both light and oxygen. Tends to become brownish in the presence of alkalis or heat.
