Joules & Joules Naphthol Red Oil Bar is a derivation of our Naphthol Red oil paint. In this process, safe quantities of beeswax and carnauba wax are added to the recipe, keeping the outer membrane solid, and the oil bar creamy inside. Joules & Joules Naphthol Red is a bright, intense, semi-transparent, highly lightfast red, with high tinting strength and moderate covering power. Naphthol Red shares a similar mass tone with Cadmium Red but exhibits a slightly orange undertone in addition to more saturated, vibrant, and cleaner hues in its mixtures with other colors.
