Handmade Oil Paint: Single-Pigment Colors - Synthetic Pigments
Prussian Blue
Joules & Joules Prussian Blue is a dark, semi-transparent, highly lightfast greenish-blue with high tinting strength and moderate covering power. Its undertones are noticeably more subtle and gray-toned in comparison to Phtalo Blue's. It was the first modern color to be synthesized in a laboratory, in 1706. Greatly favored by the Impressionists as an alternative to black.
