Joules & Joules Rio Acima Earth Oil Bar is a derivation of our Rio Acima Earth oil paint. In this process, safe quantities of beeswax and carnauba wax are added to the recipe, keeping the outer membrane solid, and the oil bar creamy inside. Joules & Joules Rio Acima Earth is made from a naturally occurring soil from the city of Rio Acima, Minas Gerais, Brazil. It is a transparent and highly lightfast yellowish-brown earth color with moderate tinting strength and low covering power. It is ideal for creating luminous glazes of color on thin-layered paintings.
